How it all began

I hate to remember the ordeal, but I can’t stop remembering my ordeal of being a Gastric Ulcer patient. If you have never been a victim of one health complication or the other, believe me you are blessed, though all of us are blessed anyway. I am pretty sure you don’t ever want to experience any of those; ulcer, migraine, leukemia, cancer, arthritis, toothache, just to name but a few.

It all began in late 2003 If not early 2004, after I gained admission into the higher institution to study mechanical engineering. Obviously, every sickness or disease in life is triggered by a certain condition or factor, mine was triggered by hunger resulting from starving to read- don’t ever make this mistake, and if you are a parent, warn your children not to starve for any reason; be it in the name of crazy desire to shed weight or something else, advise them to eat always, but not to overfeed.

Note: hunger or starving is not actually the major cause of gastric ulcer, but it is one of the trigger factors, avoid it.

Before I gained admission, I was already preparing to graduate with the best result, I cultivated this definite desire for greatness right from the high school, and I succeeded but failed health-wise. I was so eager to make it as the best student, eager not to fail, eager not to lose my wisdom, so I ended up reading all day and night and most times forgot to eat something, and if I did remembered, I had rush to a soft drink joint and get a bottle of Fanta and a snack, off I go again. This continued until my whole system was down and crying, but I ignored it since I was still able to walk and read; never ignore your body’s red light signs.

What actually causes gastric ulcer?

I am going to be a bit more medical and scientific in this regard, but everything you are about to read here, are well researched and are also proved, I am sure they will guide you, so feel free to read without doubts or unbelief. Generally, gastric ulcer results from the imbalanced secretion of stomach enzymes and acids as well as the components released in the mucosal lining of the stomach.

Gastric Ulcers results when there is an imbalance between the quantity of stomach acid the body is secreting and an enzyme called Pepsin and the natural defenses of the stomach lining (called mucosal). Deep down the gastric system, there is a spiral shaped bacteria living in the acid environment of the stomach (Heliobacter Pylori Bacterium) which can also cause gastric ulcers. We cannot also divorce physical stress, starvation and insufficiencies as factors that can lead to the development of gastric ulcer in a person.

It is noteworthy to know that gastric ulcer is not caused by consuming spicy food, stress, or alcohol, it is caused by a bacterium called Helobacter pylori, but over a billion number of people globally are carrying this bacteria in their body system, because it is transmitted through food, drink, or contact with someone infected. So, many of us have these bacteria, and if you combine it with spicy food and stress you have gastric ulcer! Recent studies have also shown that anti-inflammatory medication (ibuprofen and aspirin) seriously contribute to the gastric ulcer's evolution.

The Outcome of my Food Starvation

I didn’t know that my continuous food starvation and inconsistent eating has caused a great damage to my inner body, right in the gastric system. According to the medical description, my intestine system was finding it difficult to get something to crush or digest, so it went ahead crushing itself: the fats, the flesh, etc. the final outcome was a severe wound in my gastric system, which can be medically termed, gastric ulcer.

Where the journey began

It all started at the school library where I went to carry out some research on a term paper; it first started with a kink, then stomach uproar, gradually into pinching pain, in less than five minutes, I was already bending over, with my hands on my belly, so I managed to push myself to the hostel. Before I knew myself, I was already purging and vomiting at the same time. It looked so complicated i confused it with diarrhea until I was rushed to the emergency room of the school hospital, and the doctor prescribed some drugs which seemed to calm the situation down a bit: mixed mag (I guess a magnesium or so liquid drug)  and liquid milk, so I asked the nurse why all these, she then told me that I should pray this shouldn’t be ulcer, my heart skipped.

What are the symptoms of a gastric ulcer?

There is a big difference between a gastric ulcer symptoms and that of a duodenal ulcer, they seem to be running in an opposite direction, so don’t miss-interpret them. Below are some of the signs you would experience if suffering from a gastric ulcer, seek for immediate remedy before it gets severe and more difficult to treat or cure (not really through conventional modern medicine).

-          Abdominal pain is usually the most common symptom that an ulcer may be present

-          Indigestion and heartburn, or acid reflux

-          Gastric ulcers generally cause a dull aching pain, often right after eating.

-          Making a meal can often cause an increase in pain

-          Eating will not relieve pain as is the case with other types of ulcers

-          Nagging pain in the upper abdomen area below your breastbone

-          Experiences of nausea

-          A noticeable loss of appetite

-          Unplanned weight loss

-          Another less common symptom of a gastric ulcer is that about 3 in every 10 people are woken up at night by dull ulcer pains – this usually happens 3- 4 hours after eating.

What doctors will never tell an ulcer patient
What doctors will never tell an ulcer patient

What Doctors will Never Tell An Ulcer Patient

1. Medical Doctors simply have no options other than antibiotics:no medical doctor will tell you that he has no lasting solution for your ulcer condition when it comes to prescribing treatments for ulcers caused by H. pylori infections. The prescription will almost always be either a Triple or Quadruple Therapy.

2. H. pylori is becoming increasingly resistant to antibiotic treatments. It is widely publicized that drug therapies have an averagefailure rate of up to 70% in the treatment of H. pylori infections.

3. Many patients have been on more than 4 courses of the same antibiotic treatment, and they still have stomach ulcers and H. pylori. I have even heard of patients who have taken 8 consecutive Triple Therapy treatments, and they are still infected.

4.Majority of those suffering from this type of ulcer, are infected with Candida Albicans, and they don't even know about it!Candida Overgrowth is alife threatening infection that is extremely difficult to treat. The last thing you want to take if you have Candida is any form of antibiotics...

5. Gastric ulcer of the H. pylori type, has no treatment or cure using conventional medicine

HOW TO TREAT OR CURE A GASTRIC ULCER, MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

I lived with this ailment for two to three years without finding a complete treatment, my family doctor became exhausted with my repeated attack and consultation, and I myself lost hope of getting a treatment, so I was bracing up to live with it, but I was saved.

My savior came through a family friend, please I encourage you to always share your problem with people, a problem shared, is half solved, don’t die in silence. I said this because I got my cure through a family friend whom my mom shared my ordeal with, and she suggested a local therapy or what I may call, natural treatment using fruit.

How to cure a gastric ulcer using natural therapy

I am going to share with you the therapy I used in curing my own gastric ulcer and secondly, I am also going to share another therapy a friend used, and both all worked for us, and is working for many people we prescribed it, so you can’t be an exception except yours is a different type of ulcer, don’t lose hope or faith, cure will soon locate you.

My own gastric ulcer therapy

Get an unripe plantain fruit (2 is okay)

Peel off the bark and wash the left over

Slice it into small portions or slices and pour into a clean water container (2 or 3 liter is okay)

Fill the container with clean drinkable water, but not to brim and cover with the cork or cover

Store in a cool dry place for 2 days

After the 2 days period, shake the container and its content, then pour a full tumbler and drink

Dosage: take it morning and night until the whole content is finished

Watch out for an improvement in attacks and symptoms, repeat this if symptoms persist.

Good luck!

@Gozman, actually, i have written something like this last two years, and it has helped many ulcer patients who also came back to testify of their cure...i will post the link to the article later for you to also go through. but this very article was written basically for you, as my own token of care for your ulcer condition, just have faith and patience, it will depart soonest, and you must follow the therapy as prescribed. please feel free to come back and testify for more and better improvements as a way of encouraging other patients not to lose faith or hope.

another thing that made me to write this article again but in a modified and improved manner, is to assist many readers of the previous article asking lots of questions like: what is a plantain? how many of it do i need? should i pour away the mixture after two days (no, finish it following the dosage i prescribed, it is not harmful)? can i repeat the therapy? (yes), etc. so i asnwered all those questions in this new article and i also provided images or pictures to guide those that don't know what a plantain is. i wish you all a quick recovery, using Gozman my good friend as a point of contact to reach you all in my daily prayers.

thank you Gozman for reading and finding time to drop a word of encouragement, please feel free to recommend people to read the article, and you can equally share it on your facebook status, lets join hands and make this world a safer, healthier place for all!

hello there, I am a little confused. Is the bark meant to be peeled and washed or the actual plantain?

Please i want to first apologize for late response to your comments, i am so so sorry for that, i have been so busy with my holiday, and just recently, i lost my most beloved illustrious brother in an auto crash on the 4th of January, and coupled with the issue of strike in my country, i have not found time to respond to your comments, please bear with me, i am sorry. Thank you.

@Agnes Momoh, it will, have faith and make sure you go for a good medical test before embarking on the remedy. Good luck dear, and please pass the info along as you go. Wishing you a fast recovery.

@accofranco great efforts I will say, may God reward you for all your in put to serve others.

I must say, I treated myself with plantain remedy (naija plantain) 10 years ago and it worked. However, towards the end of last year and up till now I got myself back into it (ulcer), Probably irregular eating may be the culprit.

I just got prepared the old remedy again yesterday hopefully will start using tomorrow or a day after. I will keep you posted.

I hope all is going well with you in Naija.

This sounds like excellent advice accofranco! Unfortunately as I live in an urban area I am unable to get a hold of unripe fruits where I am. Any ideas on how I could source these or other suggestions? I've heard of mastic gum and manuka honey here in Australia can be effective, but have yet to try them.

Kku 8 weeks ago

Can this treatment be given to a child of six years diagnosed with the ulcer?

accofranco profile image

accofranco Hub Author 8 weeks ago

@All, I am very sorry for my late response, its because of my beloved brother that I lost early this year in a car accident, and ever since his sudden death, I have been so busy combining his business with mine, just to put things in order...please do bear with me.

@Mary K, I have not tried the therapy on other types of ulcers, so I wouldn't recommend or disprove the possibility. Thanks dear.

@Charles O, nope, don't include the seeds, that one cures another disease entirely, so throw them away.

@Nkechi, if he is a medical student, he should be able to understand the mechanism better, just refer him to read the article himself. good luck and I wish him a fast recovery.

@infonolan, I strongly believe that plantain can be found in a local market in Australia. but if you can't find it still, make an inquiry if such item can be sent via courier to your country, and then get back to me, I would try and get one across to you. thanks for the ther tip you dropped, thanks and cheers, glad you found it useful.

@Kku, yes go ahead, there's no harm associated with it yet. Good luck and thanks for stopping by.
